The Word For Today
Word for today
Psalm 25:15-22 (AMP) 15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net. 16 [Lord] turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. 17 The troubles of my heart are multiplied; bring me out of my distresses. 18 Behold my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins [of thinking and doing]. 19 Consider my enemies, for they abound; they hate me with cruel hatred. 20 O keep me, Lord, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed or disappointed, for my trust and my refuge are in You. 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for and expect You. 22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles. We can learn so much from David....His love for God and sensitivity towards God was so wonderful. God help us to become sensitive towards you more and more each day! I learned long ago just how mindful God is of our needs and how sensitive He is towards us. His love is beyond anything we can measure or explain! When the enemy of our soul is fighting so hard to destroy you or I....God is surrounding us with His power and authority over all things. Yes, at times He allows us to walk through situations that seem to be so overwhelming. We don't understand all the "Why's?" But we know He is with us! We are like that diamond in the rough...molding and shaping through the fire....growth takes place when we understand to be still and to trust Him through the situation...no matter how dark it may seem. I had a very close friend that had a lump on her neck and had surgery to remove it...the surgery went well. She became very ill with infection. The family and I were called in because they said she wasn't going to make it. When I made it to the hospital...I walked into her room and here were 4 very tall angels at each corner of her bed....guarding her. For the enemy could not bring death upon her...it was not God's will. I went directly to her. I asked her if she knew what was in the room...She said no. I told her she had angels at each corner of her bed. That she was going to get better....she was not going to die. She went home 2 days later...that was over 15 years ago! God has His hand upon your life....He knows what you are dealing with and He will never leave you nor forsake you! His Word is true....you can stand upon it in faith knowing that His love for you is just as His love for my friend was that day! The doctors can only predict something by what knowledge they know and see. But with God....ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!! God is your refuge and strength.....the very help in the time of trouble! He is your Father, the Lord of Lords, and the King of all kings! May you be blessed this day! Pastor Sherry
